toss the poison seeds,
cast their face from the wind
so they may no longer spread
to lands we will never visit

cast the unlikely to play
on stages where ghosts
no longer haunt those
who seek peace

so as blood refuses to stain
the eyes of children,
silence the minds of tongues
and let them dervish

to that deep place within us
where only kind words
flow from hearts that walk together
where only hospitality finds us
